ust as the economy shows signs of recovery, Infosys Technologies has stepped up its hiring activity. The company will be hiring 6,000 laterals during the last quarter of this fiscal — out of which, 2,000-odd will be laterals and the rest freshers.

TV Mohandas Pai, head of HRD and education and research, Infosys Technologies, said, Looking at our positive financial results during the Q2 and Q3, we decided to ramp up our hiring.

The company s recovery was mainly led by the improvement of the US economy and the BFSI vertical. The total employee strength has increased to 109,882 at the end of third quarter from 105,433 in second quarter this fiscal and 103,078 a year ago.
